Il Casalino is situated on the side of Bazzano di Sotto, a medieval village in the neighbourhood of St. Andrew's castle and parish church. It is 5 km far from Spoleto, in a land famous for its well preserved environment.

The country house takes its name from the former sheepfold and sheppard's house.
